About

Jason Lazarus is a Los Angeles-based composer whose work moves fluidly between epic orchestral scale and disarming intimacy. His credits span dozens of films and nearly a hundred episodes of television. He recently produced the score for Tom Hardy's Havoc, which premiered as the #1 film on Netflix, and received a Hollywood Music in Media Award nomination for his score to the Minions short film Game Over & Over.

A longtime collaborator of composer Joseph Trapanese (Tron: Legacy, Oblivion, The Greatest Showman), Jason co-composed the King Kong anime series Skull Island and the Al Pacino thriller The Ritual, and has contributed additional music to titles including Straight Outta Compton, Netflix's The Witcher, Shadow and Bone, and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. His solo credits include entries in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teen Titans, Minions, and Are You Afraid of the Dark? franchises, as well as the indie comedy Operation Taco Gary's.

Beyond the screen, Jason has created orchestral arrangements for Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, M83, Moby, and Marshmello. He holds a degree in music composition from UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music and dual U.S. and Canadian citizenship.
